What are you going to fish for these next months?

Are you going to fish a lot in the next 3-4 months? Going for some Black Drum and Bluefish, and maybe some Redfish and Speckled Trout. There are plenty of them these months.

This time of year I spend most mornings chasing reds around the flats. They tail like crazy when the tide is right, and a live shrimp under a popping cork usually does the trick. I mix in some trout fishing when the water cools a little. Nothing beats a topwater strike on a glassy morning.

I am hitting the Carolina coast for redfish with cut mullet on a fish-finder rig. Early morning low tides are best for tailing reds.

Speckled Trout.

Try a gold spoon for them if they are picky.

I’ll definitely be fishing more these next few months. Redfish and Specks are top of my list, but I wouldn’t mind tangling with some Bluefish when they’re blitzing
