my AR-15 is acting up

My AR's been giving me headaches lately with some feeding issues and the occasional stovepipe but before I take it to a gunsmith, I already cleaned it thoroughly, but I am wondering if there's something obvious I'm missing that you guys have dealt with

You can try known good mags and ammo first, then inspect the bolt, extractor and buffer spring, you can also look for burrs on the feed ramps or weak mag lips

It's about 3 years old with maybe 2,000 rounds through it, I haven't checked the extractor specifically... is that something I can eyeball or do I need to pull it out to inspect it properly?

Yeah, I'll swap in some different mags first, that's the easiest check. I haven't looked at the feed ramps closely, so I'll inspect those for any rough spots. Thanks for the troubleshooting checklist
 
If it's stovepiping on ejection. it could mean not enough gas is going into the system. Check for a canted gas block. Slight chance it could under powered ammo.
