Revolvers are underrated honestly

Everyone wants semi-autos with high capacity. I get it but there's something about a good revolver that just feels right. Am I just old school or do revolvers still have a place?

A Ruger GP100 was my second gun to own and it's still one of my favorites. I'll carry an LCR when I need something lightweight to run out for a quick errand. And my Single Six is just so fun to shoot. So, yes, I think revolvers have a place. If the stats of most civilian self-defense shootings being around 3 shots is an indication (obviously averages are not perfect), a revolver will meet many threat scenarios.

I think revolvers definitely still have a place, but the skill of shooting one is a dying art

I regularly like tucking a j-frame into a boot or in my hoodie pouch

I carry a revolver when I walk in the woods. I trust it completely. Simple is better when things get messy. A lot of bullets are nice, but being reliable and feeling good in my hand still means a lot.

Revolvers are underappreciated. There is no magazine to loose and they will hold any profile projectile as long as it does not extend beyond the front of the cylinder. There is nothing like a blued steel revolver in a leather holster.
