Unpopular opinion: tailgating is overrated

Standing in a parking lot for hours before a game never made sense to me. I'd rather just go inside when it starts. Everyone acts like tailgating is amazing but I don't get it. What's something everyone loves that you think is overrated? Drop your hot takes.

My younger son lives in Buffalo NY and pre-game tailgating is a religion for the Bills. The Sabres hockey fans could probably outdrink NASCAR fans. When visiting him last fall, he took me to see the Sabres-Blackhawks game. Great venue and (as an old Infantryman vet) I was in awe of their drinking abilities.
