Hey folks, I thought it'd be great to get everyone's take on local gun shops. What makes a gun shop trustworthy to you? I've had some hits and misses over the years and would love to hear your stories. Have you found a shop with a killer selection of used guns, or maybe some fair transfer fees? Or, on the flip side, had a frustrating experience you want to warn others about? Let's share our go-to spots and maybe even the ones to steer clear of. Feel free to mention locations and what you liked or didn't like. Looking forward to hearing your recommendations!

Most small shops around here only stock fantastic plastic/AR's or mossbersgs..........Best place to find used guns is sadly......pawn shops or gunshows.

The Gun Shop in Greenville always has 8 to 10 handguns at reasonable prices. I have never checked out the long guns. I recently picked up a short barreled model 66 there

Dewey's Pawn in Greenville has a large selection of to choose from. My local LGS is Barrett's Trading in Westminster.

I used to pop in random pawn shops somewhat frequently; however, it had been probably 10 years since my last visit, until recently.

I decided to drop into the "Cash, Guns, Gold" or whatever it's called shop on US1 in Camden. I was in there for about 40 seconds. It reeked of cigarettes and despair.

I think they had 3-4 long guns (crappy at that), a Hi-Point, Bersa, and a Charter Arms. They also had a few boxes of overpriced, random caliber ammo.

Total let down.
