Curious about what not to wear to the range. I've been going a bit lately and have been eyeing what other folks wear. It's kinda surprising how some outfits just seem off.

One thing I've picked up on is camo. Like, I get it if you're hunting or out in the woods, but wearing it to a shooting range? Feels a bit much to me. I mean, it's not a military operation, right? Some guys look like they're ready for an ambush instead of just running drills.

I've settled into a routine with my clothes. Nothing fancy. Just some jeans, a plain t-shirt, and sturdy boots. I feel like it keeps things comfortable and low-key. Definitely steering clear of sandals or flip-flops—too risky for my taste.

So, what do you all think? Am I overanalyzing this? What do you wear? Anything that just doesn't work for range day in your experience?

What you're wearing is exactly what I wear. I'm not trying to look 'tactical' to anyone and I am definitely not trying to impress anyone.

I wear the same thing I wear for a normal day. I'm retired so no 'work' wardrobe. I do dress appropriately for the weather and add specific cooling type materials.

Pretty much the same, just normal clothes suited for the weather...the vast majority of my shooting is outdoors so clothing is weather dependent...generally closed toed shoes but i've found myself in the woods in flip flops and not worried much about it...i worry more about eye pro and ear pro over the rest of my clothing

Since I am no longer in the military there is no need for me to wear camo to shoot. Jeans or lightweight pants and closed toe shoes. Usually a shirt with a pocket is good enough.
