Hunting waterfowl in the ACE basin

The ACE Basin has been on my waterfowl hunting list for years and I'm finally making it happen next season. I've heard the marshes and impoundments can be incredibly productive but also challenging to navigate, is there any important lesson I need to know for hunting this area?

The key is mastering those tidal creeks, use the high tide to access the old rice fields, but know the tide chart backward and forward. You'll need heavy decoy weights for the current, a good boat blind, and don't forget the bug spray...the mosquitoes are more aggressive than the birds
