What was the first firearm you ever shot?

I am curious to hear everyone’s stories, what was the very first firearm you ever shot and how did it go?

My first gun was a Remington 700

First gun I ever shot was my uncles 22LR rifle. I think it was Remington semi-auto.

My dad had a .22 bolt action - a Winchester, we think (he's 87 and his memory isn't great). He took me and my brother out a couple times to shoot targets - I may have been around 9 or 10? All the memories are pretty vague, being so long ago. Didn't shoot another gun again until this year. So, close to 50 year gap. And now I hit the range every week.

My first was a Stevens .22 bolt action. Got it about age 8. No clue what happened to it. Next was a Stevens 12 gauge shotgun. Had it until after high school.

A SxS J.C.Higgins (Steven’s 311) in 20 gauge from the late 30’s. Loved it. Still have it. I was six years old.

If BB guns don’t count then, like above, it was a Steven’s bolt .22. Started me on a long road….
