Load development and accuracy

I am starting load development for a new rifle and want to ensure I'm following sound practices for accuracy testing. I understand the fundamentals of ladder testing and OCW methods but I'm interested in hearing what's actually worked for experienced reloaders

Start with consistent brass prep, primers, and seating, then you can change one variable at a time, usually powder charge first then seating depth. To confirm results, shoot 3 to 5 shot groups from a bench rest and use a chronograph, also try to repeat on different days and check velocity spread to really confirm results
