Anyone heard of the Montana Knife Company?

I first came across Montana Knife Company while listening to Josh Smith on the Dave Ramsey EntreLeadership podcast. He really emphasized their focus on quality craftsmanship and American manufacturing. The knives seem to be well-built, but I haven't had a chance to try one myself. Has anyone here used their knives? Curious about how they perform in the field.

I've heard of them but don't own one. They have a great reputation. You should check out Silver Stag as well. I bought my son one for Christmas and had it engraved. Really good stuff

I also have heard of them and their reputation and like @JimIsland don't own any. I have gone to mostly using fixed blade and have a couple of Esee knives. Not cheap, but good quality and they have a lifetime warranty. Each knife actually has its own serial number if that tells you anything.

I love kitchen/chef knives. Really gotten into the whole meat clever being my go to for chopping.
I have a little one that eats tons of fruits/veggies, so it makes life easier. I'll check out the suggestions for sure!

Don’t have any MT blades but from what I hear they are very good quality but nothing magic. I like Benchmade also US made so price compare with similar MT models.

They do seem to excel at marketing with all models sold online directly via ‘drops’ on periodic Thursday releases with limited runs.

You will see MT’s in stock models - that didn’t sell out immediately - tend to be bright colors / unusual designs or something else a bit less mainstream. Most popular varieties sell out in hours or a few days.

I suspect lots of popular MT knives are resold quickly like with ticket scalpers.

I bought an Esee 6 from Smokey Mountain Knife Works and I like it. Enough knife without being too much. I'm not a fan of the rough coating on the blade.
