I’m in Summerville trying to find an outdoor range where, like you, I can practice holster draw and real world handgun scenarios.I won't shoot indoors again unless it's handgun only. My last trip indoors was on a rainy day when I was on vacation. About halfway through the ammo I had, the shooter in the next stall started up with an AR. I was trying to run a few drills (already not happy they would not allow drawing) when this idiot opened up. It had me flinching so bad I just packed up and left. Worst part is they could have put him on the end and maybe it would have been a little better. I'll stick to my backyard range and a private range where we do defense training every Sunday. We have great scenarios set up like shooting from a table, out of a car window and other real life situations that might be encountered.
I’ve had that too!Just wait until you are shooting indoors and the person next to you fires one of those 50cal dessert eagles....
I practice mostly in my back yard. Along with never going to another indoor range, I’ll never live where I can’t shoot in my own yard.I'm in Summerville trying to find an outdoor range where, like you, I can practice holster draw and real world handgun scenarios.
Where do you practice?
Also like you, I've had knuckleheads shooting large caliber rifle and shotgun in the next port at 25 yards. Ridiculous!
I agree, but there are things happening that will change that.I practice mostly in my back yard. Along with never going to another indoor range, I'll never live where I can't shoot in my own yard.

South Carolina Berkeley County has a Flex 1 Rule that permits homeowners to shoot on their property.
HOWEVER, with the rapid development of Berkeley and other SC Counties, planning and zoning commissions are discussing revoking the rule - concerned about stray, uncontrolled gunfire in a developing area.
