I’ve heard some pretty questionable gun advice over the years, and a few lines still make me shake my head. What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever heard someone give about firearms?

Someone actually said to pick 300 Blackout because it goes through drywall better. I couldn't believe it.

I remember this one guy saying you don’t need ear protection for pistols. That first experience is something I do not want to experience ever again

That’s absurd, if someone’s choosing a caliber based on drywall penetration, they’re missing the entire point of safety and responsible shooting. Hard to believe people say that with a straight face.

Oof, yeah...once you’ve felt that ringing in your ears, you never skip protection again. Anyone claiming pistols are “quiet enough” is giving downright dangerous advice.
